Why the heck should I be reading a post to give up on food?!! I love food. Food is life. Food is bae. I just won’t be able to survive without Mac & Cheese! That’s what you would be thinking before reading this post. But I can assure that your life will change after reading this post.

Because back in a few months ago, I’d never thought I would be able to go pescetarian, let alone vegan! If someone even is a vegetarian, my first question would be “How do they survive?!!” But having been a vegetarian for almost five months, I have experienced the greatest things of my life and I am so glad for having made this decision. And I have now decided to step up the game and go vegan! If you are thinking that a sane person would never go vegan, read these seven reasons for the perks of doing it.

1. You know the cool kids have gone vegan.

Ellie Goulding, Ariana Grande, David Carter, Flo Rida, Tobey Maguire, Carrie Underwood... Just to name a few. It's automatically implied that cool people go vegans.

2. You have a compassionate heart.

You have to be proud of going vegan because:-

  1. You are saving animals
  2. You are saving the environment
  3. You are saving the homeless

Going vegetarian isn’t enough to save animals because it still takes animal suffering even when you eat dairy products! Also, slogans like “Going Green” isn’t enough to save the earth! By going vegan, you are saving the environment by not contributing to pollution, unlike eating meat which is wasteful. Thirdly, you are saving those suffering from hunger because it takes more water, food and energy to raise a pound of meat than a pound of broccoli.

3. You become stronger.

It's a myth that eating vegetables that have no protein makes you weaker. Actually, living a life with plant-based products make you feel less sluggish and fresher. You just have to feel it for yourself.

4. There is a vegan substitute for almost everything.

Going vegan doesn’t mean you have to give up what you love. Whether it is cheese, yogurt or gravy, there is a vegan substitute for everything. Although it may taste weird the first time around eating them, you will absolutely savor every bite of them after a couple of times! You will be surprised how easy life without meat and diary is.

5. You can find vegan food everywhere.

Because veganism is so popular now, you can hardly find a place where there is no vegan food. You can find plenty of delicious vegans recipes on the internet too!

6. You can still eat a burger and still not give a thing.

It's hard to get around comfort, meaty foods, but you they are so calorie and cholesterol loaded. There are also cases of animal poisoning so you can't totally trust what is going inside your body. But with vegan foods which mostly constitute of vegetables, fruits, nuts and seeds, your head will be clear of all these thoughts. Vegan foods are mostly nutrient dense and super delicious too! Especially if you are a person who feels guilty after eating too many calories, try going vegan because most vegan foods are healthy! Calories will just be numbers.

7. If you are a vegan, you can do anything.

Just imagine yourself going vegan when you have always thought that you would not be able to survive without meat & diary. If you can do it, seriously, you will be able to do anything in life. It all just comes with giving it a try.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
