This is an obvious reason why December is the best month, but Christmas is a time that brings joy to the lives of many people. Christmas is the best time of the year and you get to enjoy it all month long. It is a time for family, friends, and to spread love. The food is better, people are happier, and you get presents.

2. ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas

Everyone has their favorite Christmas movie that they watch every year so, what's better than turning on your TV and there being a Christmas movie? Not much. From the classics to the new movies, 25 Days of Christmas will surely bring joy to you this Christmas season.

3. Winter Break

After the stress of finals are over, you are finally able to have a break where you do not have to worry about homework or school any longer. This is the time where you get to go home and enjoy your bed and your mother's home cooked food.

4. Ugly Christmas Sweaters

This is the month where you can bust out your best ugly Christmas sweater and no one can judge you. Whether you buy them from Goodwill or get them from your Grandma's closet, everyone loves a good ugly Christmas sweater.

5. Family Reunions

December is a time for families to reunite for the coming holidays. Your favorite aunts, uncles, and cousins all come together to have many laughs and enjoy each others company. The holidays are a time to send out the awkward family photos to show the love you have for each other.

6. Christmas Music

Even though the radio starts playing Christmas music before Thanksgiving, December is the month to blast "Jingle Bell Rock" with out any guilt. The music is a key factor to contributing to the Christmas spirit. After all, Buddy the Elf said, "The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear."

7. Christmas Decorations

The Christmas tree lighting up the room and the lights strung outside that bring joy to the street are essentials to the Christmas season during December. There is a reason that many families have the tradition at looking at lights, it brings happiness to everyone. Decorations are a way to show the Christmas spirit in your own home, so break out the best DIY Pinterest decor.
