Mornings can be tough for everyone. I have never been an early riser and probably never will be. Here are seven things you can relate to if you aren't a morning person.
1. The alarm itself makes me want to jump off a bridge.
I'm sorry but I've never heard a single alarm that actually woke me up and wasn't god awful. They either don’t wake me up or they make me want to Hulk smash my wall. There’s no happy medium here.
2. When it’s still dark out when I wake up...
I don’t think it should be legal to have to wake up before the sun comes up. If the biggest source of life is not in the sky, I’m not going to be up either. Its for my own safety really.
3. “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day”
Yes, but I can eat breakfast foods at any time of the day. There's no bad time to eat pancakes and eggs and waffles and orange juice, therefore, that argument is invalid.
4. When the weather just doesn’t want me to get up either
When it’s cloudy and raining, how in the world is my attitude supposed to be “YES LETS WAKE UP AND START THE DAY”? Nope. I'm going to lay here until I have to go to the bathroom so bad it hurts. Sorry.
5. Everyone else hates it too and then there’s that one person
Waking up early is not commonly liked, so odds are I’m going to run into other people who are equally miserable as me and then the misery just feeds and grows. But then theres that happy ray of sunshine at 6AM that wants to tell me how great their gym-sesh was this morning and that I should really try this new juice cleanse their on... Please don’t be that person.
6. I will always look like a raccoon with a dress on
For some reason when I wake up early, I think I look fine in my mirror at home. Then i get to work or school or wherever I'm going and I look in the mirror there and it looks like a raccoon got into my makeup bag, my closet and is wearing my name tag.
7. Let’s just face it, nothing is more comfortable then laying in bed
When that lovely alarm goes off and I open my eyes and just realize how comfortable I really am. The pillow is perfectly placed under my head. My blankets are wrapped around me so no monsters can get me and my pillow pet is staring at me lovingly. I would rather spend my day there and not attempt being an adult.
Moral of my story, let me lay in bed as late as I possibly can. Trust me I love life, but I love it even more when I can appreciate it from my own bed.
