Dear Mom,
It's Mother's Day on Sunday, and I don't always take the time to thank you for everything you do. Though I may not always tell you how much I thank you for being the best mom in the world, I want you to know that I truly appreciate everything you do for me day in and day out. And in honor of a day to celebrate you, here's seven reasons why you are number one.
1. You feed me.
From cooking amazing meals to buying me the occasional chicken nuggets, you always knows the key to my heart: food
2. You put up with my attitude.
Your attitude rubbed off onto me, and you put up with it effortlessly. Having teenagers is not easy, so hats off to you for dealing with me, Mom
3. You are always looking out for me.
Since day one, you have always been there for me. Whether it’s letting me cry in your arms when a boy breaks my heart to listening to me vent about silly things, you’re always there to keep me going.
4. You're my hero
You have been my role model for almost my entire life. You’ve guided me through life so I could be the best I could possibly be, and I couldn’t thank you enough for that.
5. You haved played two roles for my entire life, and rock at it.
Having an absent father hasn’t been the easiest, but you’ve managed to give me everything I’ve needed and more. I can’t even imagine the difficulty it has been trying to fill two roles at once, but you’ve done it effortlessly.
6. You support me in everything I do.
You’ve supported me in everything I’ve done since kindergarten. From school plays to sports games to dance recitals, you’ve been right there as my number one fan.
7. You're my best friend.
You’re truly my rock. Our relationship hasn’t always been the strongest that it should have been, but when I’ve needed you the most, you never failed to disappoint. You’ve raised me into the strong, independent woman I am today and I wouldn’t be where I am without you.
Happy Mother's Day Mommy, I love you to the moon and back.
Xoxo
