With thanksgiving break approaching, here are seven reasons every college student loves about the November holiday... besides the awkward family photo I have as the cover (yikes).

1. Free, home cooked meals.

When you ask your mom what she's got for Thanksgiving dinner...

2. Hot, roomy shower.

No more communal showers. Go on and belt out some Beyonce... your hall-mates aren't here to judge you.

3. Mom does the laundry.

This might be an accurate depiction of your mother when she sees your dirty clothes pile brought home from yours truly...

4. Seeing your pets.

But it's fine cause this is also you when you see Fido for the first time in three months while your mother cries over the laundry...

5. Sleeping in a queen bed.

The only downside of sleeping at home is your mother is your new alarm clock...

6. Hometown friends.

Seeing them for the first time in months makes the whole trip worth it.

7. Good quality family time.

Nothing beats it.
