Nine years after Deathly Hallows, we finally got what we had been dreaming of; a new installment to the Harry Potter series. This script tells of the children of Harry and Ginny, Ron and Hermione, and even Draco Malfoy, as they go through their years at Hogwarts. Here are seven reactions and thoughts many (including I) have had before, during and after reading Cursed Child.
1. The Anticipation Had Before Opening the Cover
This is it. I’ve been waiting for this for nine years. Should I start it now? Or let the anticipation sink in? What is it doesn’t live up to the hype? Ahh I’m getting nervous! Okay time to do it. *Opens book and immediately begins reading*
2. Aww Little Albus is Nervous for His First Day
It’s just like the epilogue to Deathly Hallows, Albus is anxious for his first year at Hogwarts. He has big expectations set for him, as Harry’s son, and he’s worried he will be sorted into Slytherin house, which leads into the next point….
3. Albus Severus Potter is in Slytherin?
Yes, Albus Potter, the son of Harry Potter, gets sorted into Slytherin. This comes as a shock to many readers, but it is not completely unexpected. Anyway, Harry was almost sorted into Slytherin his first year.
4. Hermione is Minister for Magic?
This is not very shocking, Hermione is intelligent, brave, confident and a hard worker. Of course she’s become minister!
5. Which side should I take? Albus' or Harry's?
Throughout the story, there is a great deal of conflict between Albus and Harry, and it is hard to decide whose side to take! Do I want Albus to get his way, or Harry to step in and save the situation? It’s so hard to choose!
6. Voldemort has a daughter? With Bellatrix?

7. Wow... I really missed this
While reading Harry Potter and the Cursed Child childhood memories of reading the Harry Potter series come flooding back. JK Rowling, even though you say you are done writing about Harry’s story, please write another book!
