Fall is officially here and with the cooler weather comes changing leaves, cozy sweaters and hot lattes. But in addition to those wonderful autumn things that make it the best season (obviously), comes striking lip colors in the makeup world too. Here are some options to try out this season, but it doesn’t stop here. They can be worn all year long!
Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Lolita ($21 at Sephora.com)
This is my Holy Grail lip product at the moment; I absolutely love Kat Von D lipsticks. I’m not the only one, though, as this is one of Sephora’s most selling lipsticks in the world. The formula is very creamy, and it actually stays on all day. And the packaging alone is just gorgeous, it almost made me not want to use it at first buy. Almost.
Tarte Lippie Lingerie in Envy ($24 at Ulta.com)
The application of this is so easy; the product is simply a chubby crayon. The berry color just screams fall and can flatter any skin color. I wore this color when I went on a trip to the beach, and I ended up craving a donut and the color still stayed on, so this is an incredible product in my book. I know the price is a little much for a lip color, but trust me, it’s worth it right when you put it on!
NYX Butter Lipstick in Snowcap ($5.99 at Ulta.com)
For those who are looking for a nude lipstick on a budget, this is the perfect product for you. NYX always has had great quality makeup for far less money than brands you would find at Sephora. Beauty bloggers rave that NYX has dupes that work the same (if not better!) than more expensive brands. This is a perfect nude color with a pretty, satin finish and for the price, you can’t beat it.
Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lip Color in Siren In Scarlet ($7.99 at Ulta.com)
Another great drugstore lipstick! When I want to wear a red lipstick, I automatically reach for this one because even though it is matte, it is so creamy and it doesn’t dry out my lips. I wore it to my senior year homecoming in high school, and I got so many compliments on it. That being said, it complements a black dress or an all-black outfit effortlessly, and will stay on all day and night.
Katy Kat Matte in Catoure ($8.99 at Ulta.com)
I had seen this new lipstick brand on my Twitter timeline with everyone raving about it, so I finally decided to give it a try. And let me say, I am so glad I did! I’m usually not a fan of CoverGirl products, but this lipstick is making me forget that statement altogether. Again, this is another matte lipstick that goes on creamy and moistens lips.
Buxom Full On Lip Cream in White Russian ($20 at Ulta.com)
Not only does this gloss look gorgeous, but it actually has a refreshing, tingly feeling when you put it on. This makes your lips soft and smooth, while making them a little bit plumper in the process. I love this gloss because it is not glittery like most glosses are, and it pairs well with my fair skin.
Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in Miss Conduct ($24 at Ulta.com)
Looking for a liquid lipstick but don’t know where to begin? This liquid formula is a great place to start; the application brush makes it easy even for beginners to apply. The deep plum color is stunning and dries matte once applied. It also is infused with Smashbox’s top selling Primer Oil, so it only takes one swipe in order to have a rich fall color on your lips that will not budge for up to 8 hours, so touch ups will not be needed. Go ahead girl, drink your PSL hassle-free.
