7 Kinds Of Selfies

With the coming of the front facing camera also came the selfies, as if staring at our devices wasn't enough, now we have to smile for them. There have been many poses in the past, but the new one surpasses all, and it's hilarious how many types of selfies there are. For instance:

The Lighting Selfie

This is the one we take when the lighting is just perfect as next to a camera shoot or a lamp, or even the correct amount of sunlight is falling on our faces. Everything is just radiant in this picture.

The Frustration Selfie

This is the selfie we take to show others how our life sucks and how frustrated we are in our present condition.

The Workout Selfie

There are two reasons that we share a workout selfie. Option A, to show the world that you are not lazy and that you have some form of discipline, or option B, to show off your big guns.

The Duck Face

The single most disgusting pose I have ever come across. "No it's not enough that I'm born a human, let me compensate by making the duck face."

The Animal Life Selfie

This is the kind of selfie that's actually beautiful, and no, it's not because your face is in it! It's because there is a cute looking puppy (or cat or whatever other animal) in it, which by the way you are probably holding wrong.

Wild Night-Out Selfie

This is the selfie that we take before, during, or after a night out. Maybe you are under-aged and got into a club and/or maybe even got someone to buy you alcohol (that's right I'm looking at you college students).

The Crew Selfie

This is "the" selfie, something that you will cherish and maybe even stare, simply because the people in it are near and dear to you.

What is your kind of selfie, comment in the section below!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
