I love buying for my boy, but let's be honest, life can be more and more expensive as you get to be adults. After doing a lot of research leading up to this holiday season, here are some quick, inexpensive items to get for your S.O. that won't break the bank.
1. Work Snack Pack
This is probably my favorite! My boyfriend works 12-hour shifts as a police officer and hardly eats during that whole time. My plan is to get a small plastic container stuffed with his favorite snacks for him to take in his car each day. I'm filling it with his favorite protein cookies and beef jerky, but you can totally switch up the items to your S.O.'s likings. This would also be a good gift for anyone in your life!
2. Date Night Basket
You can totally customize this to your S.O.'s likes and what you like to do together; Include things like movies, snacks, candy, card games, etc. that will ensure a fun night that doesn't require going out in public or spending a ton of money.
3. Get Creative With PhotosÂ
Pinterest is a magical place and photos are something so special and meaningful in a relationship. The possibilities are endless and, again, it is completely customizable to what you think your S.O. will like.
4. "I Love You Because..." Or "Open When..." Letters
You can't go wrong with this. It is so so meaningful and will make your S.O. feel so loved and appreciated. If your long distance, it makes even more of a difference because they have a little piece of you whenever they feel the need.
5. Prepare A Meal For Them
Food is always a good thing and it's an easy way to show someone you love them. Cooking your S.O.'s favorite meal for them is a simple way to say, "hey I was thinking of you."
6. Blankets
We all love to be cozy and comfortable, so why not pick one out for your S.O. so they have a "wooby" of their own from you. Even better, spray your perfume or cologne on it before giving it to them, so then it smells like you too (a great comfort item for you LD couples).
7. Something Related To Their Job
This is one of my favorites. My boyfriend is a police officer and the thin blue line is an important symbol in his job. They make clothing, plaques, necklaces, etc. and you can obviously do this with any job or career of your choosing.
Gift giving is so much fun around the holidays, especially for the ones you love. The biggest piece of advice I have for you this year is to make it personal. Putting a personal touch on your gifts makes them so special and memorable.
