We can all agree that 2016 was not the best year for anybody. 2016 was by far one of the worst years because many legends died, like Carrie Fisher and David Bowie, and many unexpected or unfavorable events happened, like Brexit and Trump being elected. Now any of these things happening is upsetting but all of these things happening in the same year or even same month is just devastating. So to turn to happier things, in honor of this new year, let's review some movies and tv shows to look forward to in the upcoming year!

1. "Stranger Things" Season 2

There are so many questions that we have after this show came out. I personally love this show so much and I am so excited for the new season coming out sometime this year.

2. "A Series of Unfortunate Events" on Netflix

Years after the completion of this not so innocent children's book, it is premiering as a show on Netflix on the new year's first Friday the 13th.

3. "Game of Thrones" Season 7

Winter has come, but who knows what's in store for this coming season. All I know is that I'm excited.

4. "Guardians of the Galaxy" Vol. 2

After the successful hit of Guardians of the Galaxy, Starlord and his team are coming back for volume two on May 5, 2017.

5. "Lego Batman"

One of the favorite characters in the Lego Movie in 2014 was the incredibly voiced Batman. This year, he is coming back in his own movie on February 10, 2017.

6. "Logan"

Coming out on March 3rd, Logan is another movie in the X-Men universe. In this movie, Logan and Professor X have to protect a female clone of Wolverine. This movie is based off of the comic of the same name.

7. New "Beauty and the Beast"

Also coming out in March, the new live-action Beauty and the Beast movie is expected to be a huge success. As a Disney fan, I know I'll be going to see it the opening weekend.

An added bonus of things to look forward to in 2017 is that 2016 is finally over. Happy New Year, everybody!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
