It may be nearing the end of summer time, but there's still enough time to get some reading in. This list has books of all kind, new and old, that (hopefully) you will enjoy. You can sit back and relax by the pool with one of these, or you can have something to do on the days where summer is ruined by rain.
1. "One Day" by David Nicholls
"One Day" is a story that follows the lives of two people on St. Swithin's Day, every year, for twenty years. I never usually cry when I read books, however, this one brought me to tears more than just once. If you like stories about friendship, this book is for you.
2. "Every Day" by David Levithan
This book was probably one of my favorites on this list. It was a really interesting read. Every day, the main character wakes up in a different body. The story follows them throughout their journeys. It's categorized under both fantasy and romance. Plus, it has a sequel.
3. "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen
Okay, seriously, if you haven't read this yet then...ugly baby is judging you. Maybe I'm just a little biased because it's my all time favorite book. It's a perfect tale of romance, so if you're a hopeless romantic then please read this book! Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy's love story is one of the most classic love stories.
4. "Life As We Knew It" series by Susan Beth Pfeffer
I never thought I would be into a sci-fi series before, until I found this series in middle school. The books are amazing, honestly. They follow the lives of two teens, Miranda and Alex, after the moon is hit by an asteroid and moved closer to Earth.
5. "Speak" by Laurie Halse Anderson
Out of all the books on this list, this one was one of the darker novels. It follows the story of Melinda, a freshman who was sexually assaulted at an end of summer party. It's a beautiful novel, and a fairly short read.
6. "After" series by Anna Todd
"After" is a series written on Wattpad, a popular website for fan fiction and indie writers. Originally, this was written as a Harry Styles fan fiction, but his name was adapted to "Hardin Scott," still maintaining the H.S. If you like romance and bad boys, go and invest in this series.
7. "Kissed By An Angel" series by Elizabeth Chandler
The last series on this list is the "Kissed by an Angel" series. This is a supernatural love story. It was thrilling, and made me want to keep reading more and more every chapter. You should definitely add this to your book collection ASAP.
