A new health-care system AND a unified country. What a concept!

Let me begin by saying that I am a Republican. Yes, I said it. So, therefore, I was happy about Donald Trump's victory (even though my first choice was Marco Rubio). I know that there were a lot of people who were very upset about the results of the election, but some of us were very happy and instead of rioting about the results, we all need to accept them and try to make the best of it. This is my list of goals for President Trump.

1. Get rid of the great divide!

As we all know, in the last few years, the divide of this country has gotten much worse. This includes a division in race, religion, and even gender. I am praying that Donald Trump can somehow bring us all together and make us one nation.

2. Get rid of some of the national debt.

In the last 8 years, the national debt has increased by 10 trillion dollars (and I know that that is not entirely Obama's fault). I hope that he can take some of the debt away and hopefully get us close to having hardly any debt.

3. Take some people off of welfare.

I do believe that if you are actually searching for work or if you are disabled then you deserve to be on welfare. I have noticed that there are way too many people just living off the government and not giving anything back.

4. Replace Obama Care (ACA) with a new healthcare system that helps everyone.

Obama care was okay in some ways. It has helped the lower class with their health care issues, but in the process, it was making premiums for middle-class families extremely unreasonable and in some cases, unaffordable. Hopefully, Trump and his cabinet will come up with a new system that keeps premiums from rising too high and still gives coverage to lower income families.

5. Fix poverty stricken communities.

This basically speaks for itself. Communities that are filled with poverty are typically dangerous and there are far too many of them. If we can fix these communities then maybe we can stop some of the violent crimes in this country and hopefully help people get out of poverty.

6. Fix America's education system.

Although Trump didn't pick the best person to help the education system, I do believe there is still hope. I also hope that teachers can get more benefits and better pay than what they are right now.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
