1. Legends of the Fog

It's in Harford County, but it's definitely worth the ride! Legends of the Fog is your classic haunted attraction. It's about $25 for admission, but it is totally worth it. Not only does it include walking past sinister creatures and ghosts, but you also go inside Carsins Manor filled with ghostly orphans, and you pass by a circus filled with clowns, "wild animals," and a savage Wild West show. There is also an eerie hayride with dark figures jumping out at you and a narrow corn maze that you have to run through. This is a must for the season, it's great to do with a group of friends and also awesome for a date night.

2. Baltimore Beer Week

Marylanders love their beer! That's why Baltimore has dedicated a whole week of beer drinking on October 9-18. The event has over 110 sponsors including Flying Dog, World of Beer, Samuel Adams and Baltibrew. Many cool and unique events will be held during the week including kegs, live music, pumpkin carving and mug painting. The event is held especially for those interested in the culture, culinary aspects, and home-brew demos of beer. For more information you can click here.

3. Half Price Aquarium Nights

It's a secret that not many people know of. Every Friday after 5 p.m. the National Aquarium in Baltimore offers half price nights. Stop by to see the aquarium's 20,000-plus animal residents. It's the perfect place to go to if you are just looking for a quiet place to relax, especially after a stressful week of classes.

Yes, another beer fest! Oktoberfest is Baltimore's largest beer festival, held right in the middle of the Timonium fairgrounds. There is a selection of over 80 different beers from 15 local breweries, and various types of authentic German food for everyone to try. A free shuttle bus is available for those who wish to drink, and you can also earn free drink tokens if you show up in German attire. Prost!

5. Great Halloween Lantern Parade

If you love both science and art, then this event is perfect for you! It's a magical night filled with glowing lanterns made by various city artists, children, and even adults! Work shops are held during the day to make your own special lantern, and at night the streets of Fells Point are filled with people in costumes with their shining lights, hoola hoopers, and even stilt walkers! Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
