We have heard about the 7 things or situations that suck about being a commuter. But it can't all be bad, can it? Commuting back and forth can be a hassle at time but there are some upsides about the commuter life as well. Here are 7 things or situations that are actually pretty great about being a commuter

1. Free Room and Board

If you are still living with your parents and are too young to move out, your room and board are completely free. That is if you don't pay rent to your parents. Most the time parents ask that you just keep up on chores and do your homework to fulfill your "rent."

2. You get home cooked and free food.

When commuting, most people don't have to worry about spending money on food when they have it in their fridge at home. As a commuter, you have the option to make a lunch at home or buy food while at school.

3. You can leave school whenever you want.

Staying at school all day can be boring and tedious and, unless they have to stay all day, commuters have the option to go home after their class is done. Leaving right after class, however, has some drawbacks like missing clubs or other social events.

4. You get to see your family more often.

Through the stress and struggle of finals, papers, and various assignments, it can get quite lonely up at university or college. Going home to see your family at the end of a busy day is a bonus for commuters.

5. Free WiFi all the time

University or college WiFi is often spotty and unreliable. At home, the WiFi is free and commuters often have a steady stream of WiFi. Storms are universal WiFi killers, but it's easier to get a street back up and running rather than an entire dorm.

6. Friends are easy to connect with during the summer.

Friends that live nearby someone's house are easy to connect with and it's easier to make plans during the summer. As commuters, we can see our friends over the summer and go various places such as the movies, the mall, or even Up North.

7. No roommate horror stories to deal with

The last advantage about being a commuter is that you don't have to deal with roommates who are unruly or a distraction. Most commuters don't have roommate horror stories to tell. If you live with a sibling as a roommate, the argument can usually be resolved rather quickly.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
