I am so sick of everyone saying they are insecure or they don't like this, this, and oh ya-- that about themselves. The constant complaining to others about how ugly you feel or how utterly helpless you feel today needs to end.

I guarantee you that you have people around you that not only think you are freakin fantabulous but probably wish they had something of yours that you may feel insecure about. We are not and should not be perfect.

I'm definitely not perfect.

No matter how many people say "You are always so put together"- trust me, I have my days.

We all have our insecurities, however, its the way we push past them and channel all of the inner confidence that we have that ignites our confidence. A few simple short-term turned long-term solutions that can change our whole day around. Need a boost? Here are a few.

1. Escape to music

"Music is the medicine of the mind" --- "My music will tell you more about me than I ever will" --- "Music is life, that's why our hearts have beats"

2. Get up!

"Never matter how you feel, get up, dress up, show up, and never give up" --- "Cinderella never asked for a prince, she asked for a night off and a dress" --- "Head up, stay strong, fake a smile, move on"

3. Breathe

"She took a deep breath and let it go" --- "Inhale, exhale" --- "Stop and just breathe. You'll be okay"

4. Laugh more

"Laughing is, and will always be, the best form of therapy" --- "A day without laughter is a day wasted" --- "Laughter is the best medicine"

5. Fre$hen up!

"Hey good looking!" --- "If you look good, you feel good" --- "Everything is so beautiful when you stop looking for flaws"

6. Positive Vibes

"You attract the energy you give off" --- "Inhale good shit, exhale bullshit" --- "Note to self: Relax"

Be safe. Party hard and kill it my loves.

Much love.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
