Celebrities have a habit of conveying themselves in very specific ways to impress fans, paparazzi, other celebs, you name it. However, Kanye West has wedged his way into fame by means other than impressing people. We all remember the 2009 VMA Awards when Kanye interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech but somehow seemed to overlook the times when Kanye was not actually the Hollywood jerk most everyone makes him out to be. Here are some times Kanye proved to be anything but a jerk.
1. Befriending Tswizzle.
Surprising right? Who would've guessed Kanye would cast his ginormous ego aside to make nice with Taylor Swift? Here's the proof folks. At the 2015 Grammy's, the singers were seen hugging and chatting over a potential collaboration. (The collab has since been confirmed). The proof is in the paint, folks.
2. His 'Only One' music video with daughter, North.
The music video was filmed on an iPhone and included personal footage of the father-daughter duo. Although Kanye can be a jerk most of the time, he definitely melts hearts while singing this touching ballad to North.
3. He put on a free show for his fans.
You read that right. Kanye and free in the same sentence. Earlier this year, Kanye put on a free show in New York City so that fans would not have to worry about spending a ton of money on tickets to his concert. He also pulled this same stunt in Yerevan, Armenia in April of this year.
4. He shows hella affection for wifey, Kim Kardashian.
Despite Yeezy's typical straight-faced photos, he is all smiles around wife, Kim Kardashian (and little North). He sure knows how to show the public who his woman is.
It is not a secret that Kanye West is notorious for being self-absorbed, fame obsessed, and a little bit of a jerk, but these top moments from 2015 prove that even Kanye can be a nice guy, too.
