From smelly locker rooms to long bus rides, the life of a high school basketball player is far from perfect and often stressful. Looking back after graduation though makes you see how perfectly imperfect it actually was and makes you miss all the things you thought you hated.

1. Sweaty Teammates

No one enjoyed being squished together on a bench during half time when everyone is sweaty.

2. The Exhaustion

There is no kind of tired like the "end-of-the-third-quarter-no-subs" kind of tired.

3. Adrenaline Rushes

Whether it be from shooting free throws or anticipating the ball from the tip off, the adrenaline rushes happened every game.

4. Being Coachable

No matter how good you thought you played there was always room for improvement. Especially for that play you have been working in practice for a week and still mess up.

5.Bus Rides

The late night bus rides were sometimes the worst, but sometimes the karaoke of Beyoncé made it a million times better.

6.Being Part of Team

No one really hated this part but it is part everyone seems to miss the most.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
