With winter settling in, and the weather taking a turn for the coldest, here are some classic ideas of things to do indoors when it is snowing outside!
1. Watch a movie
Nothing is better than cuddling up in a blanket and putting on a great film. All genres of movies are fantastic for a snowy day, and sitting on the couch by yourself or with someone you love can make for a lovely afternoon.
2. Play a board game
If you are snowed in with a few people, break into the board game stash and find something to play. The classics like Scrabble and Monopoly are a great way to pass time when the snow keeps you inside.
3. Make a warm meal
There isn't much that can beat a homemade meal on a bitter cold day. When the weather has got you down, cook yourself some warm food, and enjoy the beautiful snow falling outside.
4. Sit down and draw
In the middle of a snowstorm, there is so much beauty that surrounds you. Grab some paper and a pencil and sketch whatever comes to mind. Drawing is a very relaxing thing to do when the world is bustling around you.
5. Read a book (for fun!)
Curl up in bed with one of your favorite books, or with a book you've never read. Spend some time retreating to a different world, and forget about the cold environment you're in.
6. Make some hot chocolate
The best feeling on a freezing day is drinking a big cup of hot chocolate. Throw some marshmallows in the top, and sit by the fireplace with a cup of liquid happiness.
