It's not everyday that you meet two sisters who are also college roommates. When my sister and I roomed together, the most common response we got was "I couldn't imagine living with my sister." Honestly, living with a sibling isn't nearly as bad as some people would think. In fact, having my sister be my college roommate was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Yeah, we fought sometimes, but in the end we loved living together. To give a little insight into my experience, I've made a list of some things you can expect when your sister is also your college roommate.

1. You share everything.

Ok, maybe not everything but definitely most things. Rooming with a sibling means you have ample opportunity to borrow their stuff. My sister and I regularly swapped clothes, shoes, shampoo, makeup remover, etc. In our room, basically anything was up for grabs as long as it wasn't my food.

2. The memories are endless.

Some of my favorite college memories are with my sister in our dorm room. Of course, some of the most frustrating moments of my life were also experienced in our dorm room. But no matter how angry she made me, I love my sister and I miss rooming with her daily.

3. You can always be yourself.

Honestly, rooming with my sister was one of the most liberating social experiences of my life. There is nothing better than being able to come back to the dorm after a long day and completely let loose. My sister knows exactly who I am and I know exactly who she is. It's so much easier to get through college when you don't have to worry about whether or not something you do annoys your roommate. I knew exactly what bothered her and she knew exactly what bothered me.

4. You can speak your mind freely.

If my sister did something that was annoying me, I had no qualms about telling her. When you're first navigating a new roommate, it's hard to say what's on your mind because you don't want to start a fight or create an awkward situation. That's the good thing about rooming with your sister. You can tell her to stop smacking her gum and she'll most likely comply.

5. You will always get an honest opinion.

Ever wondered if your roomie just said an outfit looked okay because she didn't want to hurt your feelings? Well when your sister is your roommate, you can count on getting an honest opinion. If your outfit doesn't match, your hair looks weird, or your makeup is a disaster, you can always count on your sister to tell you what's what. She doesn't hold back when she knows something looks weird, she's perfectly okay with speaking her mind in order to ensure you don't go out looking anything but amazing.

6. You have each other's backs no matter what.

My sister and I may fight a lot, but we always have each other's back. Even if we have been fighting for a week, I know that when push comes to shove my sister will always be the first to come help me. No matter how much we get on each others nerves, we will always come through for one another. We'll defend each other, take care of each other, and love each other through it all. In the end we're more than roommates, we're also family. If I had the chance to do it all again, I'd take it every time.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
