In the upcoming months, I will be making the big transition from high school into college. The people who have done this years ago may be envious of my position, as I stand before what many consider to be the best 4 years of their lives. I am coming to understand all that goes into the college process and the adjustments I have to make in order to make at least my first year something to remember. So now, as I work through the dense paper work needed to solidify my place in the class of 2020, I have things I want to ask my future school.
1. "Can I have more money?"
I will never get tired of being offered free money. Scholarships and grants are truly amazing creations and I want to rake in as many as I can.
2. "Why can't everything be easier?"
This question can be applied to various aspects of the college process but, to pinpoint one, sorting out financial aid information has been the equivalent of being in a corn maze that is in flames.
3. "Are you going to leave me unemployed?"
This is a precautionary question because I do understand that a college provides resources when searching for a career. With that in mind, I want to make sure my diploma will get me somewhere I want to be. I'm willing to do my part in learning all that I can, I just hope I'm learning enough of the right stuff.
4. "Can I not take a math class?"
I am planning on throwing a big party when the day I don't have to take another math class comes. Yeah, yeah. Math is needed for all careers, I know, but there's no blaming me for wanting it to be over.
5. "Where are the best parties places to study?"
I really want to get to know the campus and all it has to offer...
6. "Will I ever want to graduate?"
When my four years are up I hope to have a head full of knowledge and a heart full of memories. I want graduation to be the hardest day of my life, thanks to the great times I had while at the school.
