Whether you were a kid, a teen, or even a parent in the 1990’s or early 2000’s, everyone remembers the popular trends, the television shows, the food, even the board games. When you do recall some of the items from the past you will probably wonder what happened to them and, if you are like me, want to bring them back. Get ready to be blasted into the past:
1. Postopia.com and Millsberry.com
Back before game apps on iPods, these websites were everything to kids. From being able to customize characters and play a variety of games you could not find anywhere else, these websites kept kids busy and entertained for hours. Adults even enjoyed playing the games on these sites, so I say come on, bring them back!
2. Oreo O's Cereal
For some reason this cereal is only sold in South Korea now, I know, such an outrage. Never again will you walk down the aisles in your local grocery store and see that nice blue box on the shelves. I say, bring it back! Bring back Oreo O’s to America along with the memorable commercials for it too. Is it sad that I have considered a vacation in the future to South Korea just so I can buy a box of this amazing cereal?
3. The Wonder Ball
This was only the coolest candy ever and the coolest chocolate ever, It was the most exciting moment to crack open the chocolate Wonder Ball and discover which candy Pokémon or Disney characters was inside. You also received a cool collectible sticker with your purchase, making it the ultimate must-have. I know if The Wonder Ball was brought back I would be first in line and I am sure I am not alone in that.
4. Kids' WB
Picture this: It's 1997 on an early Saturday morning sprawled out on the floor in front of your TV with a bowl of good old Oreo O’s cereal in your hands. What were you watching? I’d bet my whole Pokemon card collection that it was a show on Kids' WB. Kids' WB had such a variety of great shows, from Teen Titans to Animaniacs to Batman Beyond; it was the place for your Saturday morning cartoons. Kids' WB needs to be brought back for the kids to enjoy today, and for the people who want their nostalgic cartoons all in one easily accessible place.
5. The Warner Bros. Studio Store
Similar to the Disney stores, Warner Bros. Studios had their own chain of retail stores in the 1990s. Just like Kids' WB, it didn’t last and they closed their stores down in 2001 keeping business open only in China. Where are people supposed to buy timeless Batman gifts and collectible Looney Tune’s merchandise? Those stores provided an irreplaceable shopping experience with giant character statues and unique store design unlike any other store. Bring them back to the malls!
6. Gator Golf
Why go out and play miniature golf when you can play right in your own house? The only complaint with this game is that the golf clubs should be longer for older people to use.
