6 Super Awesome Sites for Women

Here's a list of some great websites to check out if you're a woman or man that enjoys hearing/reading the opinions of other women. I, for one, love women. You should, too!

1. Words of Women

Basically, this is your go-to site for quotes for women by women. From quotes tailored to your astrological sign to just random inspiration for when you're feeling down.

2. Passerbuys

This is a site for your little shopper heart. There are various interviews of women from New York to LA discussing their favorite products, books, or movies. It'll introduce you to some new content creators and business owners! Please support local businesses, they need it the most.

3. Into the Gloss

Your go-to destination for beauty. Their iconic hashtag is #ITGTopShelfie in which Instagrammers get to take a photo of their aesthetically-pleasing medicine cabinets. You get to see the beauty routines from your everyday worker bee to Kim Kardashian. It's informative and fun. They also run the beautiful cosmetic company, Glossier! Their products are wonderful, in my honest opinion.

4. Man Repeller

This is a literal brain dump of hilarity. The writers are funny, yet serious about the things they say. My favorite ongoing trend is the writers trying various "diets", like the Instagram diet! The founder of the blog, Leandra Medine, is the ultimate comedienne. Her memoir is also incredible if you're into it.

5. Girls at Library

I love this website and they also have a killer Instagram. It's basically more interviews with super rad women about the books they're into. My personal favorite article is the one where they interview the founder of The Wing (a women's only club in NYC), Audrey Gelman. She used to work in politics and the books she recommends falls into that category.

6. Girlboss

A movement created by Sophia Amoruso, Girlboss celebrates all kinds of women who take ownership of their careers to start their own businesses. On this blog, you can read about so many kinds of women and how they got to be the successful, influential people they are today. There is also an awesome podcast under the same name, I highly recommend the recent one interviewing THINX founder, Miki Agrawal. There's also a book and an upcoming Netflix series about Sophia Amoruso's hustle and how it led to her creating Nasty Gal.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
