Being an alpha female, I find it to be quite awesome. Granted, we do have our pitfalls. We're stubborn, opinionated, intimidating and sometimes kind of mean. However, we carry ourselves with the "I'm a boss ass bitch and you cannot stand in my way to greatness" attitude. We are fiercely independent, strong willed, determined and we aren't submissive in any sense of the word. We somewhat get a high off of a challenge, making the alpha female difficult to date. In a world where dainty females that need a strong man to their rescue is preferred, dating the alpha female can be difficult. However, speaking as an advocate for alpha females across the world, we are the best kind of girl. Difficult? Yes. Absolutely amazing? You betcha. Here are the struggles of being the alpha female in the dating world:
1. We are always honest.
There is always one thing you can count on from an alpha female, and that is that we will always be honest with you. If we have a problem, you will more than likely know about it. We won't try and pull a passive-aggressive act.
2. There will be few moments you find us stuck in a tower asking to be rescued.
There are few times where we are the damsel in distress. We are highly independent and pride ourselves on being self-reliant and self-sufficient. We appreciate the help for more challenging tasks, but if we can't find help, we will figure it out on our own.
3. We take the lead.
We know what we want, and we go for it. We take the lead, and are determined to get things done.
4. Sometimes we have a smart mouth.
We are quite fluent in sarcasm and aren't afraid to take a sarcastic tone with anyone. We are even quick to express opinions that are not always "lady-like." What's the fun in that?
5. We don't play games.
We know what we want and when we want it. If we feel like someone is playing with us, we are quick to call them out and remind them that we will drop them in a heart beat. We also aren't completely scared of bringing up uncomfortable topics that need to be discussed. We stay true to who we are, and we don't let anyone get in the way of that.
6. We enjoy a challenge.
Alpha females are competitive. We try to be the best at everything, and if we aren't the best, then we work until we are. We aren't afraid to argue, especially when we are really passionate on a particular subject.
The alpha females will maintain their "my-way-or-the-highway" attitude, and this cannot be changed. Despite strong will, independence and stubbornness, we are loyal to the ones we love and always want the best for them.
