Any girl you talk to will tell you that Target is one place to go to make your bad day good, and turn sadness into happiness.

However, it is very important that you follow these few steps to fully enjoying shopping at Target:

1. Shopping snack!

When you walk through those sliding doors, you are entering the gateway to happiness.

What is the first thing you notice while entering the gateway? Popcorn.

That is your cue to get popcorn. What tops that? An ICEE.

Popcorn and an ICEE are the two essentials that are needed to complete the first step of fully enjoying your shopping experience at Target.

2. Dollar section

After purchasing your shopping snacks, it is a must to scan through the Dollar Section. It is always full of goodies with a theme of the nearest holiday/season.

Try not to spend too much time here as you will be convinced to buy about twenty dollars worth of items.

3. Women's clothing

This area is always a hit or miss.

If I do not see anything I like I make my way towards the clearance racks that are loaded with random apparel items where I tend to get lucky with good finds.

4. Shoes

There are two areas in target where you cannot go wrong and the shoe section is one of them.

Target has all shoes for any occasion from work to party to casual.

I am pretty much always tempted to buy a pair of shoes, even if I can't walk in them (I've done that). It's basically like my mind's telling me no but my body's telling me yes.

Hint: Those of you with fairly small feet like me, size sixish, can almost always fit into children's size to save you a couple bucks.

5. Home

The way Target has those fun and colorful dishes placed is just so appealing to the eye, it convinces me that I should buy them for when I am hosting a get-together (which is never).

The home area of Target makes me happy, but at the same time depresses me because my house is not decorated with all of their decorations.

However, their wall decor is relatively cheap to work your way to a nicely decorated home.

6. Candles

So, this is probably my favorite and most important area of Target because I always buy a candle. Target has the best scents and they are pretty cheap (much cheaper than Bath & Body Works). You literally cannot go wrong by visiting this aisle because there are always great candles. It will not be a waste of time, I promise.

Obviously, it is important to search all areas of Target for great finds including beauty, and food, but these are just a few of my favorite areas and actions to take that help me fully enjoy my shopping experience at Target.
