6 Stages of Going Back to School

The thought processes that go through your head while going back to school.

6 Stages of Going Back to School

You know that feeling. The feeling of your summer being ripped right out of your hands as you wish for a month long extension on the best time of your life (aka summer break). The stages of acceptance and the various thought processes of going back to school.

One Week Out From Classes

School is so far away like we have a whole entire week until we have to actually use our brains again!

Three to Four Days Before Classes

Oh My God. I have so many things to do and I haven't even started them! *Goes and watches Netflix to avoid responsibilities*

One to Two Days

I'm almost packed! Thank god. Ya know this school thing can't be that bad like I've survived this long I might actually look forward to classes this semester!

The Night Before

Holy Crap. Class is at what time tomorrow? I have an 8 a.m.? Who decided this was OK? I did? Was I in some altered state of mind I have to be awake by 7 a.m. for a class that I could have been sleeping through but I decided to tough it out? It's already midnight? Where did all the time go?

The Morning Of

*Alarm goes off* What in the heck am I doing with my life. I'm going to wear sweats I don't need to look nice. *Puts on nice clothes instead* It's what time?! I have 5 minutes to be to class? Crap. Well no breakfast for me. I hope I don't get lost like some freshman, that'd be super embarrassing.

After the First Day is Over

Well now it feels like I have been in class forever! *It's only 1 o'clock* I have to go back to having five classes again tomorrow? When do I graduate again? (even though you never want to graduate).

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
