6 Signs You’ve Realized It’s Your Senior Year of College
- Your friends force you to go out even when you don't feel like it because it's the last year you will all be together. In the moment, you don't want to go. But once you're out and having fun you realize that this year is going to fly by and you need to say “yes” more often.
- You’ve mastered the art of buying textbooks. You’ve used the past 3 years to figure out whether or not to buy books. You've gone from the freshman you who bought every book and spent $400 to the senior you who tries to find illegal sites to download the PDF versions.
- You have no idea who more than half of the student population is. Freshman students are piling in and you realize that you’re getting older and can't crash the random house parties anymore because they are filled with 17 and 18-year-olds. So now you and your friends hit the bars instead for a night out.
- You know to not storm the cafeteria. The "Freshman 15" is a real thing! You have gone from eating unlimited food to now watching what you eat, cooking at home with friends, and enjoying the process of making a great meal.
- Your classes have become much smaller than they were your freshman year. Now there are smaller classes with kids that are graduating the same time as you, all focused on doing well and passing the class so they don't screw up their graduation date.
- You’ve started to appreciate the little things. The conversations you have with people become more thoughtful, you realize who your greatest friends are and that you never want to lose their friendship, and you realize that college has given you the greatest memories that you will never forget.
This year will be the fastest year yet. Cherish the dumb things that happen and don't forget to enjoy the journey. College only happens once and it flies by faster than you think. This year is the year to live it up. Go out on school nights, stay up till the sun rises with your closest friends, love like crazy, be spontaneous, and hold nothing back!
