6 Signs You Are The Dad Of The Group
Huffington Post

Every group has social classifications. There is the sweet friend, the reliable one, the wild one, and even the mom of the group. The one that is rarely mentioned though? The dad of the group. Everyone has one, and if you find that you match the criteria listed below, you might just be the dad.

1. They tell dad jokes.

Dad jokes are the main indicator when it comes to determining the dad of the friend group. They live off of the eye rolling humor. Their main goal? The cheesier the better. They will give you every pun and corny joke under the sun. Even when you want to groan, you know you would miss their jokes if they weren't around.

2. They make sure that everyone eats.

Whether it's at a restaurant or simply hanging out at home, they make sure that everyone has plenty to eat. They are essentially like your grandma at this point, always filling your plate. No one wants their friend hungry or only eating a salad. They want you full, happy, and eating well.

3. They want you safe.

When it comes to protection, they go out of their way for you. They make sure that if someone bothers you, they will confront them. They want whats best for the group and make sure that everyone is happy and healthy. They also advise you from doing idiotic dares, but deep down inside, they want to see what will happen.

4. They want to see what wild things you'll do.

Referencing back up top, the dad of the group will deep down want to see the crazy things you'll do and even join along. Zip-lining? Could be dangerous, but why not? Sky-Diving? Lets watch you go! They will give advice to protect you from the extreme but encourage the smaller fears in life for the benefit of your happiness.

5. They host get-togethers.

When the group hangs out, the dad of the group is ready to host. They have the food, the entertainment, and the stories all ready for a night of fun. They prepare for the best and make sure everyone is accommodated. Whether its for a big game, night out, or simply friends night, the dad of the group is ready and in action for hosting an epic time.

6. They love you endlessly.

Whatever it is, whatever you do, the dad of the group understands. They hold no hard feelings and just want to have an amazing synchronization with everyone. They will mediate and forgive endlessly because they love you more than anything. Their love will always flow outwards around them, and that's pretty amazing to have.

So, if you ended up matching the criteria above, you just might be the dad of the group. And honestly? That's something to be proud of.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
