In the wake of "Fuller House," "Arrested Development" and the announced "Gilmore Girls" reboot, it's increasingly obvious that Netflix is the place to go if you want to recreate a television show. Here are 11 TV shows that should have new seasons streaming on Netflix. While some of these shows should be hopping on the Netflix stream-wagon now, others should be recreated in the future.
Now:
1. "Friends" (obviously)
Would there be a list of television shows that need to be restarted without "Friends" on it? There shouldn't be. We needed this show to last for 20 seasons. We need to know if Joey ever grew up. We need to know what Phoebe and Paul are up to. How are Monica and Chandler's babies? Did Chandler ever pick up smoking again? Of course we know Ross and Rachel got back together, but how long? Did it last? We need answers.
2. "The Following"
Recently canceled, "The Following" was a television show that was more reminiscent of a horror movie -- a great horror movie. By the show's end, Ryan Hardy was on the hunt for revenge, and we need to see what his plans are.
3. "Happy Endings"
Another show that definitely ended too soon, "Happy Endings" was quite the opposite of "The Following." Usually lighthearted, "Happy Endings" follows a group of friends who have their own confusing relationships and are always getting each other into messes. "Happy Endings" would be an amazing show to reboot.
4. "Rugrats"
What 20-something would not watch this show? Kids loved it, parents loved it and yet it's gone. The reboot would bring nostalgia to all that watched it while it was on during the '90s and entertainment for the new generation of rugrats.
5. "Freaks and Geeks"
Although this show has some of the industry's biggest names -- Seth Rogen, James Franco and company -- the show was canceled after only one season. This fact alone is a tragedy in itself.
6. "Friday Night Lights"
More Tim Riggins? Yes please. We deserve to know what the team and the Taylor family has been up to since the show's end. (Also, we really deserve more Tim Riggins.)
7. "Revenge"
What happened with Amanda, Emily and Jack? What are they up to? Already binge-able and wildly popular, with all seasons available on Netflix, the show would be a perfect addition.
FUTURE:
8. "One Tree Hill"
Who would not want to see what Jamie Scott's life is like when he's in high school? All we know is that he plays basketball -- wouldn't it be great to see how his life compares to his father's?
9. "Sons of Anarchy"
Much like how we want to see Jamie Scott's life, it would probably be interesting to see what happens to Abel and Thomas. They're probably not in the club, but knowing their roots, their lives are probably pretty interesting.
10. "Smash"
What could be better than a drama about drama? Smash was another short-lived television show that ended much too soon. Following the world of Broadway, "Smash" was always delivering powerful emotions and music with some of Broadway and pop music's biggest stars. "Smash" could pick up years from now, still with the same issues and story lines facing their characters today. It's likely that Karen and Ivy will be competing for roles for a long time, keeping the option of rebooting "Smash" alive.
11. "Parenthood"
Because the show just ended, it's not going to be revived anytime soon. But it would be great to see the lives of the 12 Braverman-Graham cousins (yes -- it became 12 in the final scenes).
