6 Things You Only Relate To When You LOVE Your Job With A Passion

I feel as though I am one of the rare people on this earth who can confidently say that I love my job. I love it, the place, the work itself, my coworker and customers alike. With summer just around the corner, I'm fully prepared to work every day this summer, partly for the money but mostly for the people. I. Can't. Wait.

1. Your coworkers become your family

I'm not talking about the people who you never see outside of work but know all of your secrets, although that's certainly about a possibility. I'm talking about people I go out of my way to see whether I'm on the clock or not, people who act like my brothers and a best friend who I can call my sister. We're goofy, we're crazy, but I know at the end of the day no matter how weird I get they're gonna be excited to see me tomorrow which a totally awesome feeling.

2. You start to hang out at work

OK, this one may be a little biased because I work at a golf course and I golf so naturally, it's a place for me to go to whether I'm working or not. However, any time I'm there and not working I always try to help my friends do *their* job and lend a hand.

3. Your coworkers know everything about you

We talk about everything. Doesn't matter if it's family, love life, or some weird experience that happened to you two weeks ago, chances are they know it. And you know everything about them too. It's this great system because they have no one to get you in trouble for talking(gossiping??)about your out of work life, but you still get to vent!

4. You develop meaningful relationships with regular customers

This one is huge for me, I love getting to talk to everyone that comes in and asking them how their day is going. It's amazing to be a part of a community where everyone knows each other and whether it's over the phone or in person you look forward to talking to them each time!

5. Hard-work doesn't seem that hard

I'm a big believer that if you're close to the people around you, it pushes you to work harder to help them out. When everyone works diligently to provide great customer service and care, your friends hold you to a higher standard.

6. You struggle internally with wanting an internship vs staying at your current job

Whoops! Holding onto your job (especially a summer one you have held consistently for several years) can be hard to let go, especially if you actually like the people and environment! It's a symbol of growing up, which is all fun and games until you actually have to.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
