Taco Bell, a place where there are dozens of different items to order, motivational sauce packets, and Baja Blast. Taco Bell is a college staple in my university town. About half of the students that went to the bar on a Saturday night can be seen in the drive-thru shortly after. Join me as I bring to light why Taco Bell is so popular with college students.
1) It's affordable for the broke college student.
As a college student who is ballin' on a budget, Taco Bell is the most economically viable solution when I'm hungry. I can get ten Beefy Fritos Burritos for $10. Where else can you get that much delicious food for $10?
2) It's basically open 24 hours.
You can pretty much get it whenever you want. I can't even count on one hand the amount of restaurants open as late as Taco Bell. If I'm starving and the on-campus food court is closed, Taco Bell is there for me. If it's 3 a.m. and I'm leaving a party, I'm hitting up that Taco Bell drive-thru.
3) They always have something new.
Whether it's some form of a new Doritos Loco Taco, or a delicious variation on the Quesarito, Taco Bell likes to keep things fresh. Tired of getting the same thing? No worries, they pretty much release a new item every month.
4) You can order through an app.
The Taco Bell app is a lifesaver. If you only have 30 minutes to eat in-between classes, there's not a whole lot of time to waste. Instead of having to wait forever for your food, you can pick and choose what you want through the app. All it takes is a couple minutes and your food is ordered and ready to be picked up. Plus, the app remembers what you order often, which makes ordering even easier.
5) They have the Taco 12-Pack.
Whether you have a few people coming over to your dorm, or you can put down 12 tacos by yourself (like me), the Taco 12-Pack is the best solution. You get 12 tacos for $10. Not bad.
6) They're testing out delivery in certain regions.
If you live in or near the areas of Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Dallas, you're lucky. Taco Bell is testing out delivery in cities around these areas. This changes everything. College students all around will one day be able to order Taco Bell from the comfort of their own dorms.
7) All of their food items are delicious.
No matter what you get, it's always bound to be good. I've never met a Taco Bell food item that I didn't like. Do yourself a favor and go treat yourself to some Taco Bell. After all that studying, you've earned it.
