6 Reasons Why Wendy's Is My Favorite Fast Food Restaurant

Everybody has their go-to fast food place, whether it's Panera Bread, Chipotle, McDonald's, Arby's, etc... so I'm here to share my absolute favorite fast food chain: Wendy's. Now in my opinion, Wendy's is extremely underrated. In addition to the love I already had for the food products since I was a young child, I discovered a lot of information about the company's social responsibility and environmental sustainability for a class assignment, which only solidified my adoration even more. Here it is: why Wendy's is plain and simply, AWESOME.

1. The ketchup and mayonnaise combination

Most people think that this combination is disgusting, but seriously don't knock it until you try out. It might not sound delicious, but believe me it is. Every time I go to Wendy's, I look forward to that tasty sauce on my hamburger.

2. The burgers

On that note, the burgers themselves are amazing. I can eat two, three, sometimes even four (which I know is wildly unhealthy), but I don't go all that often, so I'm allowed to treat myself every once in a while. The meat might not be luxurious like you'd have at fine dining restaurants, but it always makes my taste buds smile.

3. Frosty's

Do I even have to explain this one? It's a milkshake. Enough said. You can choose from Chocolate or Vanilla. Now, not only can you get an an appetizing meal, but you can even get a mouthwatering (and cheap) dessert as well. Sign me up!

4. French fries

I'm very selective about my french fries. They have to be just right, and Wendy's has managed to fine-tune this popular food choice and it makes me very happy, to say the least. They're nice and crispy and they even contain traces of sea salt and as a beach lover, that's just an added bonus.

5. The logo

This might not be food related exactly, but how can you not love their logo? It's a little red-headed girl with a huge smile on her face after the founder, Dave Thomas's daughter. Fun fact: his daughter's name wasn't Wendy, but she couldn't pronounce her real name, Melinda. Wendy was her nickname and it stuck, so Thomas named the restaurant in her honor.

6. Chicken nuggets

Last, but of course not least, their chicken nuggets. I was never a huge fan of chicken nuggets and I still prefer chicken fingers at most places (if you say there's no difference, stop lying to yourself), but Wendy's is different. Their chicken nuggets are top dog in my book.

I don't know about you, but I could really go for a Wendy's hamburger, french fries, and Frosty right about now. Maybe I'll see you there!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
