By the time I barely make it through all my final exams and papers, I'm always so ready to be home for winter break. Four weeks of not having to constantly stress about the copious amount of papers I'm always writing and all other things school related. Typically by the end of those four weeks I am anxious for classes to start back up again, but being home definitely has its perks.
1. My mom's home-cooked meals.
I will never stop looking forward to my mom's cooking. Being in college has made me appreciate her nightly meals so much more.
2. Quality time spent with family.
Being home for winter break means hanging out with my grandma as much as possible and making sure my cousins aren't growing up too fast without me.
3.Catching up with old friends.
Everyone lives such different and hectic lives during the semester that it makes it hard to stay connected. Being back in town gives everyone the opportunity to reach out and catch up.
4. Binge watching Netflix.
I love being able to watch the current show I'm obsessed with for hours on end without feeling guilty of not doing something more productive with my life, such as going to the library to do homework.
5. Mom and daughter time.
Whether we're baking, shopping or just watching a movie, I enjoy my mom's company more than anything.
6. Catching up on some much needed sleep.
There's just something about sleeping in your bed back at home that makes sleep 10 times better.
So this Christmas break eat, sleep and be merry.
