There's no doubt that the world is scary and uncertain right now. There is violence, hatred, and more confrontation than ever. Every day is a challenge and there are some not-so-fun things that we have to deal with daily. But, I truly believe that part of the cure for all the negativity out there is a healthy dose of optimism and joy. I know it won't fix everything, but a positive attitude is truly contagious. So, take a deep breath, relax, and remember all of the things God has blessed us with on this beautiful earth!
6. The very fact that dogs exist
I mean LOOK AT THAT FACE, Y'ALL. Not only are they absolutely adorable, but dogs can have a positive effect on mental health and even ward off depression!
Dogs are some of the purest, most loyal creatures on this earth and I want 7 of them, please.
5. Coffee
The fact that there is a delicious hot beverage to wake up to every morning that gives us energy to face the day, is nothing short of miraculous. Coffee also has proven health benefits, including a lower risk of diabetes and depression. Not only that, but there are so many adorable coffee mugs out there that need a good home. Do the right thing. Drink coffee.
4. Music
Music is probably the coolest thing on the planet, honestly. You can listen to a song and immediately be reminded of a happy memory or time in your life. So, take out your headphones, crank your favorite song and just remember how awesome life can be.
3. Nature
This world is a beautiful place, despite some of its issues. Whether you love the beach, mountains, forests, or cities, there is beauty everywhere. So, whenever you're feeling down, I encourage you to step outside, take a walk, and enjoy the natural beauty that exists all around you (and if you happen to catch some Pokemon, even better)

You were created by a God who knows you and loves you, no matter what. You are absolutely beautiful and unique, inside and out. You matter, and this world would be a less beautiful place without you. And if that's not a reason to smile today, then I don't know what is :)
