1.) Bernie wants to share the wealth.
The United States is the richest country that has ever existed. That being said, America also has more wealth and income inequality than all other major developed countries. Something just doesn't sit right with me when the top one tenth of one percent owns about as much wealth as the other 90 percent.
Sanders has plans to force the large corporations and the overly wealthy to pay their fair share of taxes. He will no longer allow these massive companies to weasel their way out of paying U.S. income taxes.
2.) Bernie cares about the environment
It is 2016. Does anyone truly believe climate change doesn't exist? Its time to face the fact that it is our faults.
Due to a horribly made decision during the Citizens United Supreme Court case, the fossil fuel industry has no limit to how much money they can pour into the political system. In turn, allowing them not to disclose how much money they are spending and what they are spending it on. In return for all that money, plans for clean sustainable energy are being prevented in hopes to keep the demand for oil high.
Bernie wants to remove fossil fuel lobbyists from the White House. Heavy-handed lobbying causes people to question climate change and has no business being involved with the executive office. He also wants to eradicate any skepticism of climate change so we can tackle the problem head on.
3.) Bernie is a racial justice warrior
It is completely inexcusable that here we are in the beginning of the 21st century and still dealing with racial issues. It is no secret that our nation has experienced a racial separation recently that can partially be credited to a certain orange man running against Sanders.
Bernie is an active supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement and has big plans that will unite us all.
Bernie has plans to demilitarize our police force making them more, for a lack of a better word, human. Sanders also realizes that getting police officers into communities before problems arise is a way to build relationships that make for safer neighborhoods. Bernie will also crack down on hate groups performing illegal acts.
4.) Bernie will fight for women's rights
We have made leaps and bounds in women's rights since the early 1900s but we are no where near the end of the road.
Bernie will get us there.
Bernie will guarantee every woman has the opportunity to obtain birth control. He will not allow extremists to get rid of Planned Parenthood. In fact he wants to expand it. According to Sanders, domestic violence survivors, male or female, have a right to services against their abusers.
Bernie wants to close the gender pay gap by signing the Paycheck Fairness Act into law and eradicate the the wage discrimination based on gender.
5.) Bernie has always and continues to be an active LGBT rights activist
Bernie has been supporting the LGBT community since 1983 when he first became mayor of Burlington.
Sanders will sign into law the Equality Act, the Every Child Deserves a Family Act and all and any other laws that will end LGBT discrimination.
Bernie will work with HHS to guarantee access to health insurance to every member of the LGBT community without the fear of being mistreated by providers.
Bernie will require police departments to enforce policies that demand fair treatment for transgender people.
Sanders will Veto any legislation that tries to "protect" religious liberty by infringing on someone else's rights.
6.) Bernie has ways to pay for all of this
Many people chastise Bernie for coming up with all these ideas with no way to pay for them.
These people need to do a little research.
