6 Reasons Why Halloween Is The Best
The Londony

As October hit, everyone posts about how much they love Halloween. Because well, fall is one of those great seasons. Thanksgiving, sweaters, warm drinks, the smells, and most importantly: HALLOWEEN.

I may not be the only Halloween fanatic, so here is 6 reasons why Halloween is the best.

1. COSTUMES

One of the better parts about Halloween is that you can be anyone you want to be for one night. The possibilities are endless of what you could be, I'm pretty sure one of my friends, Makena, has gone as a piece of bacon for three years in a row. (She's ironically vegetarian.) Most of the time it's always a struggle for me to choose what to be, even if I am eighteen, I love dressing up as something I'm not! It'll be super cool to see others costumes! (Look our for me as the one and only Peter Pan).

2. Candy

For the most part, the candy is great but it's always expensive. But unlike Valentine's Day, Halloween also has candy for half off the day after, so you get endless amounts of candy. But any type of candy is the best especially the spooky kind that you can eat and become merry.

3. Spooky Memes

This could probably be explained in a few gifs, because the better part of Halloween is all about the spooky memes! 2sp00ky4me

4. Spooky Decorations

The best part about is that you can carve pumpkins with awesome designs from Nightmare Before Christmas or even Cheshire Cat, the choices for carving pumpkins could go on and on! Also the smells around this time kind of just remind you of fall or autumn. It's the only time it's perfectly accepted for me to buy black cat stuffed animal with it holding a Jack-o-lantern as well as a random fake skull (I have one sitting in dorm on our microwave, his name is Jeffery).

5. Movies

Most likely one of my favorite parts about Halloween is the awesome homey time movies you can watch, I know some years I've gone without watching Halloweentown and it just never felt right! I will either have to find something else to watch or just watch it, but watching anything from Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, Mom's Got A Date With A Vampire, etc. it ultimately makes the holiday a lot more cool as well as fun! I remember one year I was sick with the flu on Halloween and I watched Halloweentown as well as the three Halloween movies the spooky setting is always a classic and I most likely will always watch 'em!

6. It's Cool

Some people don't like Halloween, but I love the idea of being fictional person for a night and being able to get a bunch of candy and eating it all and having a belly ache while watching some good 'ole Halloween flicks! It's a super cool way to spend your time as well as munching on a Carmel Apple!

Most importantly though, stay safe this Halloween! Although a fun holiday, there can be some stupid people out there who will try to ruin it for you!

HAVE A FUN AND SPOOKY HALLOWEEN SEASON KIDDOS!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
