6 Reasons Colorado Is Better Than Florida
Master's Men Colorado

Colorado is a state that I have always been interested in living in, but I never had the opportunity to visit- until last week. Now, I am absolutely convinced that Colorado is better than Florida in every aspect.

1. It looks like this from above

...and Florida looks like this

Do you see what I see? No pools. No houses right smack next to each other. Open space and nature! This is all I need in my life.

2. Completely natural rivers!

Completely natural. Not man made. No mosquitoes. Just beautiful water straight from the Earth.

3. Going outside without melting

I haven't been able to enjoy nature in Florida without completely dying ten minutes in; at least not in May, but the weather in Colorado is so wonderful! 75 degrees with a nice breeze? Hasn't been like that in Florida since February (maybe March).

4. It looks like this before it rains

In Colorado, you can actually tell it's about to rain! Never does it start raining with the sun blazing high in the sky. My absolutely favorite part was the lack of extreme humidity after it rains (hair was still on point).

5. Hail just happens

I know for others this may not be the best thing ever, but being in Denver and watching the hail fall just reminded me of winter in New York. It's been a long time since I've seen snow (or anything snow like), it was a very nostalgic moment.

6. My Best Friend

My best friend in the whole world moved to Colorado after high school. I haven't seen him in eight months. I don't even know how to explain the feelings I got being with him again. It just felt like home. And I know for a fact anywhere where he is has to be the best place in the whole world.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
