6 Orthodox Reasons To Love The Royals

Baseball season is in full swing and the Kansas City Royals are back, and just as exciting to watch as always. The defending champions have already had their fair share of setbacks, but just like the Royals are known for doing, they push through it. Enjoy this short list of reasons to love your Kansas City Royals.

1. Salvy's famous post game ice baths

Everyone knows it is coming and someone different always receives it.The Salvy ice bath to the player of the game. Nothing is greater than seeing Salvy bright eyed and smiling running out of the dugout with the giant cooler.

2. Wade Davis

One of the best if not the best closer in the MLB. The name Wade Davis is sure to send shivers down a batter's spine. The man has one of the nastiest change-ups known to man.

3. Dugout Interactions

It doesn't matter who is in the dugout there is always some sort of celebration or personal handshake going down. It is very entertaining to watch as well.

4. The comebacks

Down seven to one in the ninth against the Chicago White Sox, and missing a few of our starters to top it off. No problem! The good ol' boys in blue pulled out a win! There is never a dull moment of baseball with this team.

5. Hosmer

Sure he is a good ball player, but he also drives the ladies crazy. Eric Hosmer is one fine looking fella.

6. Whit Merrifield

This guy can do it all. Plays anywhere on the field, can hit well, and has impeccable sense of the game. He is currently on a seven game multi hit streak in his first 11 MLB starts. Could he be the one to fill the hole of the missing Ben Zobrist?

Although they still look rocky at times, there is nothing better than watching some Royals baseball. Can we repeat the World Series win for a third straight trip and a second straight win? Only time will tell.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
