These past couple of weeks have been filled with new music. These artists have all made a major splash in the music industry already, but their latest albums give a fresh look at what they can do. Get ready to add these to your playlists.
JoJo - Mad Love.
Released: October 14, 2016
It's been 10 years since JoJo has put out an album, so you can expect something fun, fresh and new from this talented songstress. Her single "F*ck Apologies" gives you a taste of her sassy pop vibe and her cover art looks so cool.
Tracks to look for include: "I Can Only" featuring Alessia Cara, "Vibe", "Honest" and "I Am."
Colbie Caillat - The Malibu Sessions
Released: October 7, 2016
She's back and better than ever. She's gotten back to her roots -- beachy and laid-back with subtle sounds. Her voice is so melodic and mellow, it's so relaxing to listen to. Plus the color scheme is very tropical, which totally gives you island-vibes all year round.
Tracks to check out include: "Gypsy Heart", "Cruisin'", "In Love Again" and "Now."
Sabrina Carpenter - EVOLution
Released: October 14, 2016
She may only be 17, but this girl gives off a vibe wiser than her years. She sings of something more than just a traditional fairytale: there's rumors, broken hearts, letting your emotions out, being honest and how the world works. Talk about depth. Plus the album title is so unique -- "Art produces emotion. Emotion produces change. Change produces evolution. And evolution is what life is all about" is what she's shared on Instagram.
Tracks to listen to include: "Run and Hide", "Feels Like Loneliness", "Shadows" and "Don't Want It Back."
Norah Jones - Day Breaks
Released: October 7, 2016
I used to love her song "Come Away With Me" so I was so stoked to see her coming out with new stuff. In a way though, her sound is very much reminiscent of her old tracks because she's gone back to piano-based sounds. She also includes three covers on her album, making it fun as well as having her original songs on there too.
Tracks to look for include: "Burn", "Flipside", "Tragedy" and "Day Breaks."
Britt Nicole - Britt Nicole
Released: October 7, 2016
Her crossover continues with this pop-based album that blends plenty of Christian influences. She sings about the power of God, but not in a preachy way. Instead, she sings of faith, love and hope in a universal tone that can speak to all.
Tracks to check out include: "No Filter", "Be The Change", "Better" and "Concrete."
One Republic - Oh My My
Released October 7, 2016
One of my all-time favorite groups is back with this awesome album. Full of fun rock riffs and meaningful melodies, the band always manages to meld the two genres together flawlessly. Another wonderful effort by Ryan Tedder and co.
Tracks to listen to include: "Kids", "Human", "Dream" and "Let's Hurt Tonight."
