6 Harsh Realities You Face Once You've Graduated From College

So, this is what you've been waiting for. FREEDOM! You made it through the 4 years of terror, walked across that stage and shook your college presidents hand to receive that diploma and VOILA! You're officially a college graduate. How freakin awesome is that?! I know you never thought you would see the day. I'm sure you've been reminiscing on all the times where you wanted to quit and become a drug dealer and your friends agreed but talked you out of it. It was all worth it at the end because you finished but the thing is you actually finished. You're done.

Now its time for (as they say) "The Real World". We've all been through it. Hell, I'm going through it right now. Adulting is not only a blessing but a curse and with adulting comes some scary realizations you only think about once you've returned back from school.

Here are 6 harsh realities we wish someone would've warned us about before we graduated:

1. Apply for your dream job is easy, but actually getting it is hard.

Seeing all of these opening for jobs give you hope but which one of them are actually going to hire you? Think about it. Don't lose too much hope though.

2. When the job requires 5+ years of experience, but you've only been in school for 4 years.

3. Loans Loan Loans Loans Loan Loans (Rihanna voice)

Need I say more?

4) Knowing the difference between wants and needs.

You want that designer shirt, but do you need it?

5. Living under your parents is not so bad after all

You have loans to pay. So living with your parents is cool for now. It will give you time to save up and get your life together but don't over stay your welcome.

6. Monday to Fridays From 9 To 5 Are A Real Thing

No more napping, no more extra time to thy self, no more time for even a drink of water, no more time for nothing.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
