6 Food & Alcohol Festivals To Check Out In Orange County And Surrounding Areas This Summer

6 Food & Alcohol Festivals To Check Out In Orange County And Surrounding Areas This Summer

Summer weather is officially here! As much as we love beach trips and swimming, summer is also a good time to get out and enjoy some food and drinks. Below is a list of seven events you should go to without having to travel too far!

1. Beer, Bourbon and Bacon

Tickets start at $55 and include entrance into the fairgrounds, and beer and bourbon tastings. There are various food vendors on the fairgrounds that you can purchase bacon dishes from! It's on June 18, so it's a perfect activity to do with your dad for Father's day, and is located at the Duchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck, NY.

2. HV Pizza and Meatball Fest

It's pretty safe to say that we all love Pizza! This festival has tons of restaurants competing for the best slice, and you luckily get to try them all! This year they also added the best meatball competition so there's even more of a reason to attend. Tickets start at $27.25 and include entrance, live music, and two samples of pizza from each vendor. If you wanna try some meatballs just upgrade your tickets for $21.25 and those meatballs are yours to try as well! This event will be held June 12 at Magnanini Winery and Restaurant in Wallkill, NY.

3. Jerseyfest Food Truck Mash-up

June 4th at the Meadowlands Race Track is the Jerseyfest Food Truck Mash-up. Vendors will be from both NJ and Philly. There will be live music and very delicious food options. Some of the vendors include a Ben and Jerry's Food Truck, "Empanada Guy", "PB&U". Best part is, tickets start at only $5!

4. Bounty of the Hudson Wine & Food Festival

Held at the Applewood Winery in Warwick is the 21st Annual Bounty of the Hudson Wine & Food Festival. All 15 wineries from the Shawangunk Wine Trail will be participating. There will also be cheese, honey and baked goods from local vendors! The event is two days long (July 30-31) and tickets are around $30. Luckily, they offer a less expensive ticket for the designated driver of the group!

5. Summer of Cider

This event is also held at the Applewood Winery in Warwick and is from June 11-June 12. They will have food options as well as ten different ciders on tap! I was unable to find any ticket information for the event, but their website has a "contact us" section if you're interested!

6. Straight Up New York

This event is held at the Warwick Valley Winery and Distillery in Warwick on July 9. Tickets are $40 for tastings and $15 for designated drivers. Enjoy beautiful views of the orchards while tasting wines and spirits, and even food from local vendors.

So get out and get some food and drink!
