6 College Majors As Couples You Know

We've compared college majors to alcoholic drinks, novels, emojis, and designer bags.

College majors essentially decide what you're doing to do for the rest of your life but there's something so basic, so oddly stereotypical about them. We, the internet, first realized this during the rise of the STEM major memes, followed by the theatre majors and English major memes (arguably my favorite meme period of the 2000s). Since then, we've compared college majors to alcoholic drinks, novels, emojis, and designer bags (probably, I haven't personally seen that comparison but I'm sure it exists). Thus, I bring you: college majors as couples!

1. Engineering

This is the couple that's attached at the hip, yet one of the people (hint: it's the major, not the student) in the relationship is unnecessarily domineering and demanding. They always need to know where the other is, what they're doing, who they're with- even though that's rarely the question because they're always together. Did you have friends, a social life, and hobbies before this relationship? Not anymore!

2. PreMed

Everyone kind of thinks these two might have gotten married at the end of high school and told no one because the wedding was actually just signing the documentation at City Hall- practical and quick. They had exactly one glass of champagne each, pecked each other on the lips, and went to bed at exactly 9:30 PM because they both had a long day at the hospital the next day. They spend the rest of their lives married but rarely see each other. Also, they have those plastic covers on all their couches like your grandparents do except they're only 30.

3. Art

These two take typical aesthetic pictures of each other at museums. Their hair is a new color every week, sometimes matching and sometimes not, and they're usually stoned.

4. English

They swear their love can conquer mountains and drain rivers and that it's as eternal as the night sky but have y'all actually been on a date together? Do you like to go to chipotle for lunch sometimes? Relax, Dickens, go text your S.O. a meme.

5. Accounting

These guys are high school sweethearts that swear they're going to make it but they've been on and off ever since they started dating. It's common knowledge that they're sleeping around and no one is even sure if they like each other. But, they snapped a picture of themselves together last Monday that said "my forever baby" with like three hearts on it, so it must be real.

6. Theatre

This couple is summed up in one word: Duets.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
