6 Best Scary Movies On Netflix
Netflix

I recently got into the horror movie genre and decided to do some binge watching on Netflix. I've discovered some hidden gems that you may scroll past without realizing they're actually seriously scary. Here's my count-down top six picks!

6. The Houses October Built

This is a B-rated, Blair-Witch film styled movie is crazy in plot and content. You do need to pay attention to the movie's beginning even though it starts off slow. I think the scariest part of this movie is that I'm still unsure if it's actually acting. The entire film seems like it could actually happen... This movies makes me rethink visiting haunted houses this Halloween...

5. The Lazarus Effect

Sometimes science doesn't know when to leave things alone. This movie shows one of those times. Naturally, if you know about Lazarus, you know he was raixed from the dead. Needless to say, these scientists aren't Jesus and some people need to stay dead.

4. The Ward

This is a psychological thriller, and it THRILLS. I still recommend this movie and enjoyed the great story and massive plot twist. This movie will flip your mind inside out adn leave your jaw on the ground. A must-see for anyone who likes things messing with your mind!

3. Would You Rather

We all remember playing "Would You Rather" as tweens. It was an awesome game and pretty funny. Well, this movie makes that game much more interesting. Especially with money on the line for the characters... This movie is more gore scary than jump scary. I know there were several times I HAD to look away.

2. The Ouji Experiement

This may be a b-rated movie and some of the acting is plain cheesy, but the scares are 100% worth every awfully acted line. Trust me, it starts kinda lame with a "Blair Witch" type film style. Then it picks up and before you know it you're screaming and probably wanting to burn your house down after this movie.

1. The Curse of Sleeping Beauty

This is not your familiar Sleeping Beauty. Between the crazy story and jump scares, you have to watch out cause you may have nightmares about those stupid monsters. The movie may have been a box-office flop, but it is totally worth watching. I still get chills on my spine when I think about this movie.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
