College is so busy that it's often hard to find time to even pick out something decent to wear, let alone put on makeup. After a year of school, I have decided on a group of products that a college girl's beauty bag should never be without; they make feeling great easy, quick, and effortless. Here are some things to purchase before move-in day!
1. BB Cream
School is stressful, and all that stress often causes breakouts and uneven skin tone. But, with a drop of BB spread over your face, your skin will get the moisture and sheer coverage it needs to look its best. It is lighter than foundation, so you won't look like you're wearing a ton of makeup; just as though you're well-rested (which you obviously are not, but the rest of campus does not need to know that!).
2. Moisturizer with SPF
Long walks to class leave your skin exposed to the sun for a long time, even in the winter. Protect your youthful skin with sunscreen built into your moisturizer; it's a two-in-one product, saving you money!
3. A go-to mascara
Nothing opens up tired eyes like mascara. Find your favorite and always keep it on hand for those mornings where you only have a few minutes.
4. Foundation primer
This is what I wear on days when I know my skin is oily, but I won't have time to apply powder throughout the day. The best thing about primer is that you don't actually need to wear foundation over it; it simply absorbs oil and keeps your skin looking clean and fresh.
5. Highlighting powder
I love sweeping this over my cheeks just to wake up my face. It works wonders. Sometimes, I even apply it to the inner corner of my eyes along with a few coats of mascara; it's amazing what this combo can do!
6. Roll-on perfume
There are going to be those days when you're running from class, to the gym, back to class, and to meetings in between. Sometimes, you just don't have time for a shower when you need it. A sweet smelling perfume always does the trick.
Staying beautiful and confident in college all comes from the inside, but these beauty essentials will certainly help you feel more fresh, clean, and confident all the time.
