Kid's are careless creatures, never really having to worry about much. Then we grow up and realize a bunch of things we never really thought we would.
1. Disappointing your parents
Nobody likes to feel guilty, especially when the guilt its coming from your parents. Disappointing your parents is literally the worse feeling. Getting home late, trying to sneak into your bedroom at3:30 am when you hear your mom coming out and yelling at you for never listening to her. That is the worst!
2. Realizing that you're getting old
Overhearing that the 10 year old kid next to you was born in 2005 and you were a freshman in high school in 2005 can be a tough pill to swallow. This is typically when we start to freak out and realize we need to do something crazy before our joints start to hurt when we walk.
3. Getting a real job means you actually have to learn skills
Being a firefighter doesn't seem so cool anymore when you realize you have to do all the work that goes behind being a firefighter.
4. You actually have to watch what you eat
It's kind of funny because as kids we think I'll eat my double cheeseburger and an ice cream, who cares, I'll always look this awesome. But then, you see how calories work and wonder why you don't look like that really good looking gym goer.
You attempt to make lasagna like mom makes it, and then you quickly realize you shouldn't have even tried. There is no place like home. Kid's don't really realize what home is until they leave!
