When I started college joining a sorority was the last thing on my mind, but I am so glad I did. The people I met through this journey are people I hope stay in my life forever. They are the people who are beautiful inside and out. These are the people who I feel lucky to have by my side and people who are there for me, my dreams and my future.
I had doubts, but those disappeared the moment I met my sorority sisters. These girls stand for so much and I am so proud to strand next to them. They empower and inspire women to reach their full potential and provide you a stepping stone for support and help. The atmosphere is relaxed and happy.
I was lucky enough to know the moment I met these girls, this was where I wanted to be. Now after my first semester I can honestly say it is the best decision I made in college.
When you join a sorority you have standards you are expected to live up to. You are active in your community and you study for your classes just a little bit harder. I never imagined this is where I would be, but I am proud to be where I am.
We mean a lot to each other and these girls become your family. You share your secrets with them, you support them and you have confidence in their reliability. I have very welcoming sisters and we are close. We go on adventures together and already we share memories and friendships that will last the rest of our lives.
I love all of them and am thrilled to have my perfect big who compliments me in the best ways. The stereotypes surrounding these sororities and fraternities are repeatedly proven wrong. There is no feeling of not belonging or phases where you feel unwelcome. If you allow the old stereotypes to stop you from joining, you might miss one of the most social and eye opening experiences college has to offer.
I would recommend this experience to all students. You learn so much about others and even discover more about yourself. I am so glad I took this opportunity when I did and I get to spend the rest of my college career getting to know the old and new sisters. Together we take on college and the world together. Sororities open your eyes, they get you involved and they don’t accept a half way you when they know you're capable of more.
I am thrilled to share the next three years with these girls and look forward to our new memories and adventures together.
