Have you ever sat in the Student Union and watched your fellow students walk by, wondering where they were headed and what was on their minds? Well, if you have, wonder no longer -- here are 50 thoughts we've all had at one time or another while attending Oklahoma State University:

1. "Why did I pay so much for a parking permit when there's literally no parking spots. EVER."

2. "Thank God...there's an open spot!"

3. "Nope. It's just a car that's pulled up all the way."

4. "Ugh, I hate people who do that."

5. "Hey I wonder if that guy's heading to his car? I SHOULD FOLLOW HIM."

6. "Eskimo Joe's sounds SO good right now."

7. "Hmm...are those cheese fries really worth the Tapingo delivery fee?"

8. "YES, YES THEY ARE."

9. "I should really start eating healthy and going to the Colvin..."

10. "Woah, hold up, is that free pizza?"

11. "Ugh, why does my dorm room smell so much?"

12. "Maybe it's my roommate..."

13. "Oh God, what if it's me?"

14. "OH. It's my fish."

15. "I just cleaned his tank on Tuesday...how can it stink that much!?"

16. "Yeah. Definitely no more impulsive Walmart purchases for me..."

17. "Hey...is that guy wearing an OU shirt on campus?"

18. "Oh no he isn't!"

19. "Why is everyone and their grandmother handing out flyers today!?"

20. "Maybe if I avoid eye contact with them, they'll leave me alone...?"

21. "Ahh I going to be SO late to cla--wait, is that Pete's Pet Posse?"

22. "I NEED TO PET ALL OF THEM."

23. *Passes orange baggers* "Aww, that was me not long ago...when I was 10 pounds lighter, thought I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up, and had hopes of a 4.0 GPA."

24. "Whoops."

25. "WHY DOES OKLAHOMA HAVE TO BE SO HOT?"

26. "I would kill for some Fuzzy's right now...I should Tapingo it."

27. *Steps in front of bus* "Free tuition here I come!"

28. "Just kidding. But really...would I get free tuition?"

29. "Woah, was that an earthquake?"

30. *Checks Yik Yak* "Yup, definitely an earthquake."

31. "Hey they're giving away free t-shirts!"

32. "Do I really need another orange shirt?"

33. "YES, YES I DO."

34. "Ugh, Stillwater should really get a Target."

35. "Ooh, I should Tapingo some Zaxby's."

36. *Steps into Drummond elevator* "This is the way I'm going to die."

37. *Elevator stops halfway on a floor* "Should I wait for it to start working or should I try to ninja crawl out?"

38. *Ninja crawls out* "Oh now it decides to start working!"

39. "I'm so tired...I should Tapingo some Caribou."

40. "Why are my classes spread SO far apart?"

41. "I should totally buy a bike. Why don't I bike to class?"

42. *Sees bicyclist wipe out* "Oh yeah, that's why."

43. "He just walked up the front steps of Morrill...sucker!"

44. "Nah, I know that's just some silly legend...but I think I'll take the side door just in case."

45. "Is that Preacher Bob...AGAIN?"

46. "Why is my bank account SO low?" *sees Tapingo receipts* "OH."

47. "I should really start using my meal plan more."

48. "Wait, that amount won't rollover to next semester...? Rancher's Club here I come!"

49. "Can I just skip class and sit by Theta Pond all day?"

50. "Wow. I really go to the best school."

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
