50 Things To Be Thankful For In College

College brings a whole new set of rules for life and, therefore, a whole new set of things to be thankful for. Here just a few things I'm thankful for in college.


1. Not having to wake up before the sun rises for class

2. Picking your own schedule

3. Deciding sometimes you don't want to go to class and there is no one there to make you

4. New friends (sorry Drake)

5. Being able to live with your best friends

6. Living in a new place

7. Greek life #frat #srat

8. Being able to do pretty much anything you want to, whenever you want to

9. Seeing new people everyday

10. Studying abroad

11. Joining clubs in just about anything and everything because they have it all

12. When class gets cancelled

13. Being able to wear the same thing two days in a row and no one from your T/TH classes will know how lazy you are

14. Cookies from the caf

15. Not failing your first semester (hopefully)

16. Or second semester (hopefully)

17. When your teacher lets you out of class early

18. Passing a random room check

19. Getting care packages

20. Getting any sort of mail tbh

21. Decorating your dorm for the holidays

22. Decorating your dorm in general

23. Getting a month off for Christmas break

24. Learning things you care about

25. Registering for classes and actually getting the schedule you want

26. Passing a test you thought you did bad on

27. Having a great professor you enjoy

28. When puppies come to campus

29. Having a class where attendance isn't mandatory

30. Naps

31. Football games

32. Football tailgates

33. Basketball games

34. Basketball tailgates

35. Other sporting events

36. Being able to binge watch Netflix and not having someone around to judge you

37. Discovering new things you are passionate about

38. Late night snack runs

39. Networking

40. Feeling like an adult

41. Exploring your new city

42. Ramen, cup noodles, microwave mac&cheese

43. Being able to eat ice cream at every meal from the caf

44. Meeting people you never would have gotten the chance to meet

45. The best nights are the ones you CAN remember

46. The sense of community you have living on campus

47. How much more special it is when you go home and see your family and friends

48. Having two places to call home

49. Realizing you're not the only one who doesn't have their life figured out

50. Making memories!!!
