The third week of classes is in full-swing, midterms are beginning, and most motivation has dwindled away. The loss of motivation has come with increasing procrastination, and as a result, I have created a list of 50 things I would rather do than study.

1. Ride my horse

2. Binge-watch Netflix

When "just one more episode" turns into "oops, I just watched an entire season..."

3. Browse Facebook

4. Drink coffee

(Even though 99% the time I'm studying, I'm also drinking coffee)


5. Eat food

No shame.

6. Exercise

Willingness to exercise... that says a lot about procrastinating.

7. Like posts on Instagram

8. Groom my horse

9. Clean

10. Scroll through Twitter

11. Shop

"I definitely need a new pair of shoes!"

12. Bake cookies

Stressed spelled backwards is desserts.

13. Eat said cookies

14. Color

It's relaxing... until you color out of the lines.

15. Pet dogs

16. Stub my toe

17. Take a nap

Avoiding responsibilities at its finest.


18. Teach my roommate's fish tricks

19. Listen to music

20. Text friends

Bonus points if they're sitting in the same room.

Duh, not a textbook.

This will give the allusion that I have my life together.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
