1. Thank you for loving me unconditionally.

2. Thank you for wiping away my tears.

3. Thank you for culturing me.

4. Thank you for your sense of humor because we are both funny and if you don’t believe us just ask us.

5. Thank you for always sending me funny pictures and videos.

6. Thank you for letting me talk out my anxiety.

7. Thank you for always being there for me, even if we are two hours away from each other.

8. Thank you for being my number one fan.

9. And by number one fan, I mean going to every single band, choir and dance thing.

10. Thank you for letting me call you everyday, even when we don’t have anything to talk about.

11. Thank you for being my therapist.

12. And for being my super hero.

13. Thank you for teaching me how to adult (it’s a work in progress).

14. Thank you for teaching me that sometimes it’s OK to tell someone to F-off.

15. Thank you for reminding me that I would not look good in prison stripes.

16. Thank you for dealing with dad better than any of us can.

17. Thank you for making me feel beautiful.

18. And for telling me when I need to fix myself.

19. Thank you for teaching me to treat people the way I want to be treated (even if others don’t return the favor).

20. Thank you for always reminding me to kill them with kindness.

21. Thank you for making up our own words to overplayed songs.

22. Thank you for the Pizza Pizazz because I’m still convinced that that is God’s greatest creation.

23. Thank you for encouraging me in everything I do.

24. Thank you for not punching me in the face every time I say, “treat yo' self.”

25. Thank you for teaching me that the best thing to be is sarcastic.

26. Thank you for spending more time at my school than I did.

27. Thank you for being cool. My friends whole heartedly agree.

28. Thank you for turning into Sherlock Holmes whenever something went missing.

29. Thank you for practically living in your car the passed 20 years.

30. Thank you for making breakfast for dinner. No one makes it better than you.

31. Thank you for hating the people I hate.

32. Thank you for trusting me when it comes to making good decisions.

33. Thank you for teaching me that it’s okay to give up on people.

34. Thank you for being my role model.

35. Thank you for putting up with my weird obsessive phases (but it’s your fault for showing me "Grease").

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
