51 Best Memories With My College Best Friends

As a college senior in my last semester, I am feeling a mix of nostalgia and I'm-not-ready-to-graduate-yet emotions. It has been a long four years -- difficult and challenging -- but also incredibly rewarding and enlightening. The college experience is very similar to a roller coaster ride; there are many ups and downs, it goes by quickly and you don't have time to truly acknowledge its greatness until its over and you leave feeling winded and liberated. At the end of the day, there is nothing that would have made my experience more complete than my college best friends. We have shared memories that I will remember the rest of my life.

Singing at the top of our lungs

Trying on each other's clothes

Fighting with each other (and then making up)

Arguing about politics

Going to concerts together

Laughing until we pee

Cooking and eating together

Laughing at YouTube videos

Learning random dances

Helping each other with homework and school projects

Driving to get fast food late at night

Spontaneous road trips

Dancing in frat basements

Picking up a friend “the morning after”

Playing board games

Sharing boy drama and stories

Having deep conversations about career goals and life decisions

Stalking pictures of boys

Having sleepovers at one of our homes

Rope swinging and tubing down the river

Binge eating at the dining hall

Stalking people in the dining hall

Stalking people in the library

Going to the library to do homework and spending the entire time gossiping and watching videos

Wine nights

Playing drinking games

Cuddling and venting

Doing each other's hair & makeup

Laughing at each other’s embarrassing moments

Homework café dates

Going on vacations together

Having weird conversations that we couldn’t have with anyone else

Meeting each other’s families

Getting ready together for date parties

Getting ready together for frat parties

Shopping together

Binge watching our favorite TV series

Dancing at clubs

Gambling at casinoa

Going to random school events and programs

Day drinking

Dancing on roofs

Wearing weird outfits and dressing up for themes

Meeting strangers

Playing in bouncy houses

Taking a million pictures

Girls nights out

Playing sports together

Spending birthdays together

Making countless inside jokes

At the end of the day, through our many ups and downs, I would not change a single moment I’ve had with you all. College would not be the same without you. Thank you for the best memories and best experiences that have made college something we’ll never forget.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
